The TORCH IgG Test is a blood test that detects IgG antibodies for a group of infections that can affect pregnancy and newborn health. TORCH stands for Toxoplasmosis, Other (such as syphilis), Rubella, Cytomegalovirus (CMV), and Herpes simplex virus (HSV). The presence of IgG antibodies usually indicates a past infection or immunity.

How It Works:
A blood sample is collected and analyzed for IgG antibodies to each infection in the TORCH panel. IgG indicates previous infection or vaccination-based immunity.
